The 1541231 speed sensor is a transmission input speed sensor (TISS) designed for Hyster and Yale internal combustion forklifts. It provides critical rotational speed data to the transmission control module for shift timing and engine response management. This sensor features a 60 mm (2.37 in) probe length with a 3-pin rectangular electrical connector and three-blade trigger wheel compatibility. It replaces OEM part numbers 5800450-59 and 580045059. The sensor operates on Hall-effect principle to detect gear tooth passage, generating a digital frequency signal proportional to input shaft speed.
