Cummins 2872331 Fuel Injector Assembly

The Cummins 2872331 is an XPI series high-pressure common rail fuel injector designed for 8.3L and 8.9L heavy-duty diesel engines including ISL, ISC, QSL, and L9 platforms. It features electromagnetic solenoid actuation and a multi-hole nozzle assembly calibrated for EPA13 emission standards. The injector body incorporates a pressure-assisted design resistant to fuel-borne debris damage. Each unit undergoes 100% flow and spray pattern testing to ensure precise fuel metering and combustion efficiency. This assembly replaces Cummins part numbers 5579409, 5579409PX, 2872331PX, and 2872331NX. It is compatible with the DLLA156P1509 nozzle configuration.
