Volvo Penta 3594989 Trim Sender Sensor Assembly

The Volvo Penta 3594989 is a 2-wire potentiometric trim sender sensor designed for monitoring stern drive tilt and trim position. It provides a resistance output of 0 to 160 ohms corresponding to the drive unit angle. The sensor mounts on the transom assembly and interfaces with the helm gauge or ECU for position indication. Constructed with marine-grade corrosion-resistant materials to withstand harsh saltwater environments. Direct OEM replacement for Volvo Penta part numbers 3594989, 3863129, 3861837, and OMC 3854842. Compatible with SX-C, SX-C1, SX-C2, SX-M, DP-S, and DP-SM transom assemblies manufactured approximately 1998 to 2001. Not compatible with early SX-S or late SX-A and DPS-A models.
