Volvo Penta 3857449 Ignition Distributor Assembly

Volvo Penta 3857449 is an electronic spark timing (EST) ignition distributor designed for General Motors V8 marine engines used in Volvo Penta and MerCruiser sterndrive and inboard applications. The distributor features a Delco HEI (High Energy Ignition) module with electronic spark advance control, aluminum housing construction, and a steel drive gear compatible with flat tappet and hydraulic roller camshafts. It meets SAE J1171 marine ignition protection standards. Cross-reference interchange includes Volvo Penta 3862014, MerCruiser 805222A1 and 8M6001253, Sierra 18-5484-1 and 18-5514, and Recmar REC805222A1.
