Cummins 4024792 Main Bearing Set

The Cummins 4024792 main bearing set is a standard-size (STD) service kit designed for QSK60 and QSK60G heavy-duty diesel engines. The set comprises 22 individual sintered tri-metal bearings engineered with a copper-lead-tin base alloy, nickel dam, and Babbitt overlay to provide high load-carrying capacity and seizure resistance under extreme operating conditions. These bearings support the crankshaft, ensuring precise alignment and uniform load distribution across the main journals. The kit includes upper and lower main bearing halves along with thrust washers to control crankshaft end play. This assembly replaces Cummins OEM part numbers 3800620 and 3800920. It is applicable to QSK45, QSK60, and QSK60G engine platforms used in mining equipment, hydraulic excavators, and power generation units.
