This camshaft needle bearing remover and installer tool is designed specifically for Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight (M8) engines manufactured from 2017 onward. The tool set facilitates the removal and installation of the inner camshaft needle bearing (OEM 5806) while maintaining precise alignment to prevent damage to the bearing, camshaft, or engine crankcase. The kit utilizes a proven collet-style puller mechanism to extract the worn bearing without allowing needle rollers to fall into the crankcase. The installer driver features a fine-threaded depth control and a stepped pilot to seat the new bearing at the exact factory-specified depth. The heavy-duty backing plate secures to the engine case using four thumb screws, providing a stable reference surface for both operations. Constructed from high-strength tool steel (45# / 1045 cold rolled steel) with a black oxide corrosion-resistant finish, the tool meets OEM 5806 dimensional and hardness specifications. It is compatible with all Milwaukee-Eight displacements including 107 (1746cc), 114 (1868cc), and 117 (1917cc) V-Twin engines found in Touring, Softail, and Trike models.
