MTD 951-12428 Fuel Cap Assembly with Tether

The MTD 951-12428 is a vented fuel tank cap assembly designed with an integrated tether to prevent loss during refueling. It features a 2.25 inch (57 mm) outer diameter thread interface and a maximum 10 percent vent rate for proper fuel tank vapor management. Constructed from hydrocarbon-resistant black plastic, this cap seals the fuel system on MTD-manufactured zero-turn radius mowers. This component replaces OEM part numbers 751-10703, 751-10703A, 751-12428, and 753-05969. It is engineered for direct installation without tools, threading onto the fuel tank neck. The tether anchors to the tank or chassis structure. Compatible with Cub Cadet RZT and ZTT series, as well as MTD private-label equivalents sold under Troy-Bilt, Craftsman, and Murray brands.
