Case D84179 Power Steering Pump Assembly

The Case D84179 is a hydraulic gear-type power steering pump designed for Case backhoe loaders and tractors. It features a cast iron housing with precision internal gear assembly, delivering a maximum operating pressure of 1740 PSI (120 bar) and a nominal displacement of 6 cc/rev. The pump utilizes a 14-tooth spline drive and incorporates an internal pressure relief valve. It restores smooth steering control and hydraulic assist pressure for heavy-duty construction equipment applications. This unit replaces multiple OEM part numbers including D84179, A35718, D64601, A137187, and A36559. A mounting gasket (part number A30042) is required for installation and sold separately. The pump weighs approximately 4.0 kg (8.8 lbs) and is compatible with a wide range of Case 480, 580, 584, 585, and 586 series backhoe loaders as well as select Case tractors.
