VDO 622-817 Water Temperature Sensor Alarm Switch

The 622-817 water temperature sensor functions as a combined sender and alarm switch for engine coolant temperature monitoring in generator set applications. The sensor features a 1/2-14 NPTF male thread for direct installation into engine coolant passages. Activation temperature is calibrated at 103°C (217°F) with a tolerance of ±2°C to trigger over-temperature alarms. Electrical connection uses a 1/4-inch quick-disconnect terminal compatible with 12-24V DC systems. The housing meets IP67 ingress protection for dust and water resistance in harsh operating environments. Cross-reference interchange includes FG Wilson part numbers 622-340 and 622-342, Cummins OEM 3967250, and Perkins engine applications. The sensor replaces VDO temperature sender 803/1/32 specification. Designed for use on FG Wilson gensets powered by Perkins 1100 series and Cummins B series diesel engines.
