Uflex M66X16 Rotary Steering Cable Assembly

The Uflex M66X16 is a 16-foot (4.88 m) rotary mechanical steering cable designed for marine steering systems. It features a fast-connect (QC) helm interface and solid stainless steel engine output fittings for corrosion resistance and durability. The cable core utilizes a 6-strand, 16-wire construction to ensure flexibility and low friction over long cable runs. It meets ABYC and NMMA certification standards for marine steering applications. This cable serves as a universal direct replacement for Uflex M66 series, Teleflex SeaStar Solutions SSC62 QC series (including SSC6216, SSC6200, SSC6300), and Morse Command 290 / D290 series steering cables without requiring adapters for current helms. It is compatible with Uflex T71FC, T72FC, T73NR FC, T81FC, T82FC, T83NR FC helms (2001 and newer) and Teleflex Safe-T, TQC, NFB helms. For pre-2001 Uflex helms (T71-T84NR), adapter K66 (38432Q) is required. Recommended replacement interval is 500 hours or 10 years.
