The Volvo 21164792 is an exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor designed for heavy-duty diesel aftertreatment systems. It measures exhaust gas temperature at the EGR cooler outlet or turbine inlet to protect components from thermal overload and optimize regeneration cycles. The sensor features a thermistor sensing element housed in a stainless steel probe with M14x1.5 thread mounting.
