The Sun Hydraulics CBEG-LIN is a screw-adjustable, pilot-assisted counterbalance valve designed to control overrunning loads in hydraulic circuits. It features a 4.5:1 pilot ratio and standard capacity rated at 30 GPM (120 L/min). The valve fits the industry-standard T-2A cavity. The check valve section allows free flow from the directional valve (port 2) to the load (port 1), while the pilot-assisted relief section controls flow from port 1 to port 2. Pilot pressure at port 3 reduces the effective relief setting at a rate determined by the pilot ratio. The adjustment range spans 2000 to 5000 PSI (140 to 350 bar) with a standard factory setting of 3000 PSI (210 bar) and a check valve cracking pressure of 25 PSI (1.7 bar). The cartridge incorporates Sun floating-style construction to minimize internal binding caused by installation torque or cavity machining variations. It is a direct replacement for Sun Hydraulics CBEG series cartridges used in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems including excavators, cranes, and material handling equipment.
